We are back open for business and excited to share that we’ve expanded our cooler space and added a cold storage trailer thanks to a WVDA Resilient Food Systems Grant!

This past season was our first year growing in our high tunnel, and it was a huge success! We grew a wide variety of crops including beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, beets, radishes, onions, peppers, herbs, sunflowers, and dahlias.

What a Fun Day at the Library!

Last week, we kicked off the Summer Reading Program at the Summersville Public Library and what a fantastic day it was! Twenty kids joined us for an afternoon filled with books, hands-on activities, and tasty veggies.

Fresh Start Market is teaming up with 3WS Lake Country 95.7 for a series of short radio segments this summer called “Fresh Start Market Moments.”

We’re excited to share that Fresh Start Market has a brand new website, thanks to the talented team at Havenbrook Media! This is a big step for us as we continue to grow and share our mission of supporting local farmers, producers, and our community.

This year, we’re excited to share that we’re redoing our second high tunnel to grow some of our own vegetables right here on site! It’s a big step for us, and we can’t wait to bring you produce that goes from our garden to your table in just a matter of minutes. You can’t get any fresher than that!
